Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for your kind words for our family! We are all doing great and are too excited to have Grayson finally with us! My delivery was great; scheduling and knowing ahead of time is the way to go!! My surgery was scheduled for 7:15 and Grayson was here at 7:17am (they were able to start a little early!). We have video of Madison getting to meet her sister for the first time, it is so sweet. She was a little nervous about the room we were in because she got to come in the recovery room to meet her; they did not have a room to put us in for a little bit. Once we got into our room Madi did not seem so nervous about what was going on. Madi was so sweet though, she kept asking "is that Grayson" and then when family started coming in she would introduce Grayson to them. The hospital stay was short and sweet, but I could not wait to get home. I lost it a bit on Friday when Madi was leaving going back home for the day; I just missed my sweet girl so much. So, I was determined for us to get to go home a day early on Saturday!
The slide show has a lot of pictures during the hospital stay. Some to note are Grayson getting her first hair wash, she loved it! The nurse was laughing and could not believe she was not crying. Also, as posted earlier, my Granddaddy celebrated his 80th birthday on the same day we welcomed Grayson. He was so proud to be holding his Great-Granddaughter on such a special day. I also love the picture Jeremy took of me patiently waiting on the table; there is a tear running down my cheek; Grayson immediately started crying as soon as her head was pulled out; and as all you mom's and dad's know that is the sweetest sound you will ever hear! Another picture to note is my beautiful door hanger that my mom made; thank you so much, it is beautiful! You will also see the cutest gift; the chair with all the goodies is from Jeremy's office. The even put a special stuffed animal in there for Madi which was so thoughtful! Notice the little bracelet that Grayson is wearing in her coming home pictures, it says "lil sis". Madi has one that said "big sis". Mary from Jeremy's office made them for the girls and I just love them!!
I also wanted to say thank you to all our friends and family who have visited us and we were so glad to share such a special time in our lives with them.
And last but not least, a huge thanks to my dad and mom for staying at our home and taking care of Madi! We knew she was in good hands and that is what kept us going knowing that she was loving her special time with Pop & Nana. We love you both, thank you so much again!
