Madi's First Day of Preschool...

Madi started preschool yesterday. She did so good, we were both so proud of her. She had really been looking forward to it. When we got there she was full speed as we headed to her room. She kept saying "run, run, run!" When we got to her room she ran straight in and started playing. She was very excited to see her friend Will who also started yesterday. She was having so much fun that I could not even get a hug out of her! Her Daddy made sure to get his hug though. When I picked her up Miss Laura said that she did great! She never cried, and even took her nap on her nap mat! We are so proud of our big girl! Here are some pics and video from the big day! Happy Anniversary to us!

Today Jeremy & I celebrate our 7 year anniversary. It seems like yesterday that we were waiting for the big day; and we waited for a long time! We have been together 16 years this August (for those of you who are calculating, yes we were 14 when we started dating; dated through high school and college...) Thank you sweetheart for being such a wonderful husband. I love you so much!!! I thank God for you everyday. Kisses....

I love it and remember the moment like it was yesterday. We didn't even realize he had taken it and he told us about it when we got our pictures back...

Answered Prayers!

I went in for my 26 week visit today and got some great news! The placenta previa has corrected itself and the placenta is now where it should be! Praise God! Thank you all so much for your prayers! I also passed my glucose test and lost a pound, WOOHOO!!! Grayson looks great. I can't believe how fast my pregnancy is flying by. I start going every 2 weeks now. Here is a cute profile pic of our little Grayson...

 

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mother's day! My sweeties got be a beautiful pearl necklace and a cookie jar with Madi's hands on it (will post pics of it!). Madi's 2nd Birthday!

Today Madi turned 2! WOW is all I have to say. It seems like yesterday I was waiting to meet her, longing to hold her in my arms, to smell her sweet smell, you get the picture!! My baby is two! Time just goes by too fast! She is so smart. She can talk very well in full sentences. We have no trouble understanding when she wants to tell us something. She can sing so many songs, count to 15 by herself, and sing her ABC's. She can do so much now it is hard for me to remember everything! She just continues to amaze us everyday. One of our favorite things she says right now is "help!". She has the sweetest little country voice and it is just precious! When she wakes up in the morning this is our wake up call "help Daddy, help Mama" It is just too funny! Another one of her new words that is also pretty funny is "vamanos" which is Spanish for lets go! She loves Dora & Diego!! Anyway, we are so proud of our little angel. She is just growing up way too fast! She starts mothers-day-out on June 3rd and we are not looking forward to it, but she will LOVE it!!

We had her birthday party last weekend. It rained a lot the morning of her party, but we still had a great turn out! Because of the rain, there was no one else at the park. The kids had the entire park to themselves. It could not have been any better. There were a few areas of puddles, and of course Madi was the first one to test out the puddles! Before we knew it, all the kids were playing in the water! They had so much fun. When it was time for Madi's cake I sat her up on the table with her little legs out in front of her and muddy water just poured out all over the table, too funny! She got lots of great gifts. Her cake was a beautiful butterfly, Jeremy made it! Thank you to everybody who came to celebrate our little girls special day! We got her a playhouse, I will post pictures of it soon! 22 Week Checkup & Prayer Request

I went in for my 22 week checkup today. I had to have another ultrasound for what I thought was some measurements they were not able to get last time, but come to find out it was to recheck my placenta. Turns out, I have partial placenta previa. This is where part of placenta is covering the cervix and is lying to low. Hopefully this will clear up on its own as my pregnancy progresses. If it does not I will just have to really take it easy toward the end of the pregnancy because I do not want to have to deal with what could happen if things went bad (bleeding, hospitalization, blood transfusions, bed rest, early delivery). YUCK!! So, I ask that everyone pray for my pregnancy and that this condition take care of itself and be gone by the time I am 30 weeks. The doctor told me that I could continue with my work and that it should not pose a problem. I will just have to be careful with lifting things. I know that God will take care of us and everything will be just fine!

Grayson Nicole....

We have finally decided on a name for our little one, Grayson Nicole! We are both so excited and can't wait to meet her! Madison is so sweet, she was talking to my belly the other day and I asked her if she wanted to kiss Grayson. She raised up my shirt and said "hey Grayson" and kissed my belly. She is such a sweet girl and is going to be a great big sister!

Welcome Reece Owens!

Our good friends Angie & Owen welcomed their little angel into the world this past Monday. Reece weighed 8 lbs 8 oz. Mommy & baby are doing great! We can't wait to meet you Reece!

Cute April Fools...

Jeremy's boss called and left a message for Jeremy to call this man about a potential job. Message in hand, Jeremy dialed the number:

Lady: "Good morning, Birmingham Zoo"
Jeremy: (not noticing where he had called) "May I speak with Mr. Lion"
Lady: "Honey, I think someone has pulled an April Fools on you (as she is laughing)"
Lady: "I get about 1000 of these calls every April Fools"
Jeremy: "That's funny, thanks (laughing)"

Easter Pics

Well, we finally attempted to get some Easter pics of Madi before the bunnies go back home next week. She really loves the bunnies. Every time she sees them she tells them "I hold you". She loved getting to set with them, but did not care about getting her picture made. Her Daddy was trying to get her to smile, and he said say cheese; with her little straight face she looked at us, closed her little eyes, and slowly shook her head no. It was so funny! She finally gave in to her Daddy's silliness and we got some smiles. Here are some of favorites....

Early Surprise!!

On Monday I decided to make a trip into the doctor because I had been having some pretty bad cramping since Saturday. Everything turned out okay and the baby is doing just fine. However we did get to find out what we are having!!!! We are having a GIRL!!! We are soooo excited! So the rumor that I had heard is true, every pregnancy is different because I was sure it was a boy since I had been so sick and was not with Madi!! So, the 8 of you who said girl on the poll, you were right! Here is a cute pic of our little girl...

Easter Day

We had a wonderful Easter! We started the day at the early service at church and then went to my grandparents in Cullman; my Dad & Mom were there also! Madi hunted eggs there and was such a big girl. She was so good at hunting the eggs. She would say things like "my egg", "I got it", and if they fell out of her basket "oh no, my eggs". I will try to get some video on here soon! We then went to Jeremy's mom & stepdads and Madi got to hunt eggs again with all her cousins. She had a blast! Once home, Jeremy's dad come over and visited with us for a while. We had a wonderful day! Here are some cute pics of our day:

14 week doctor's visit

I went last week for my 14-week checkup. Everything looked good! I actually had to have a recheck ultrasound because of a little "implantation bleed" they had saw last time. It was all cleared up now. The heart rate was 162 and that sweet baby was just a moving! Also, something exciting happened tonight. I was doing some editing at the computer and I kept feeling a little bump on my belly. After a few times I ran in the living room to Jeremy and he felt it too, several times!! I thought I had been feeling something for about a week, but I am sure now! I can't believe that I am feeling the little stinker this early (15 weeks), I was 22 weeks before I felt Madi. Here is a cute pic of our little heartbeat....

 

SNOW!

As soon as Madi got up this morning we took her straight to the front door and opened it and the snow was really coming down...

Daddy: Madi, what is that?

Madi: SNOW!

Madi: Where's my jacket (as she holds both little hands up)
